My Story
Early Roots And Aspirations
Born in the UK to a mix of British and Mexican heritage, ever since I was young I had a dream of visiting Latin America. I can even remember crafting itineraries as young as 14 as to how I would travel around South America – and I was adamant I was going to do it.
Over the next decade and a half, I made this dream come true. Throughout my late teens and early twenties I began visiting countries like Mexico, Colombia and Cuba, and I was instantly sold. I also began my career as a travel writer at this time, writing for a few blogs as well as a couple of ones that I either owned or co-owned.
Achieving The Bucket List Travel Goals
Between the time I graduated from university and came back from my first trip, I began saving heavily. I knew that a short visit was no longer enough (even a trip of as much as 6 months). No – it was time to prepare for a new life, even if I was unsure what this would look like or where I would end up.
As soon as COVID restrictions lifted in the UK (yet another reason I was happy to leave!), I flew straight to Mexico City – which kickstarted my one-way ticket to Latin America. Peru was the first proper country I hit here, and after 3 months of truly unforgettable travel, I felt like I found a new home. The next 24 months saw me visit the vast majority of both Central and South America, until I came back to reside in Peru with new goals on my mind.
Helping Latin America Tour Companies Succeed
Back in Peru, I decided that I wanted to expand from my travel writing career, and move into something that was more sustainable and impactful for both myself and who I worked with. With my experience in travel and Digital Marketing, I began working with Peruvian tour companies, helping them to grow online sales and traffic with SEO and various other methods.
From here I then expanded to work throughout Latin America, focusing purely on Digital Marketing strategies and how I could help tour companies thrive regardless of the environment they are in – such as within the digital AI era.
My Proof And Experience
Today we (unfortunately) now live in an era where everyone is now suddenly an expert in everything they claim, and this dilutes what is real and what is not. This can make it hard to trust who has really been there and done it.
One of my biggest values both as a human, travel writer and strategist, is having proof to back up everything that I say or have done. This is pretty straightforward for my travels, such as me posting every place I’ve visited on Instagram, as well as tour videos recorded with clients on YouTube.
